    Work Representation

Providing effective workplace advice is one of the core functions of the Union. SISEU helps protect  workers’ rights by representing and helping our members in the issues that they faced at work.

    Objectives

    • To foster a stable and harmonious industrial climate that is conducive to investments and creates employment and good jobs for workers.

    • To equip and enhance the professional knowledge of union officials through sharing and dissemination of information on industrial relations matters, organising seminars on relevant topics and courses.

    • Advocate equal opportunities, fair and equitable treatment across the workforce.

    • To promote effective consultation between employers, union and industry partners on all aspects of industrial relations.

    Inclusive Growth Programme
Under the umbrella of the labour movement, our e2i (Employment and Employability Institute) is currently administering $100million grant to help companies implement productivity improvement projects. Click here to find out more about the funding programme.

    Re-Employment Efforts
The latest Tripartite Guidelines on Re-employment of Older Workers was released in January 2011. To help SMEs re-employ workers, the ADVANTAGE!scheme was revamped into the Capability Development Grant. Companies could tap onto this grant when they implement a HR system to support re-employment. More information on helping Companies to be re-employment ready can be found here.
