Overview

Labour movement

The labour movement is a broad description used to describe the enhancement and development of a collective organisation. A collective organisation encompasses the workers of that organisation to fight for their own benefits so as to achieve a better treatment and working environment from their employers, specifically by implementing specific laws governing labour relations. The Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF), Ministry of Manpower (MOM), and National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) are active in and part of the labour movement.
SISEU is one of the 61 trade unions affiliated to NTUC. At SISEU, we aim at delivering what is best for our union members, representing the interests of our members.
SISEU represents more than 80,000 members across various sectors including agriculture, commercial, social, community and related services, technical and consultancy services, printing, engineering, light manufacturing, and logistics.
