NTUC provided more than $5.5 million in assistance to over 47,000 beneficiaries through its NTUC-U Care Fund this year, NTUC Deputy Secretary-General Desmond Choo announced on 14 December 2025 at the launch of My Little Pony: Petals of Friendship at Gardens by the Bay’s Floral Fantasy.

The announcement was made as 100 lower-income families attended the event, which kicked off the distribution of 5,200 complimentary tickets to NTUC-U Care Fund beneficiaries as part of a community partnership that has now reached over 10,000 individuals.

“For us, this is more than financial aid; it is about caring for and uplifting lower-income families, improving their welfare and well-being, and helping them build better lives.

“Partnerships like these with Gardens by the Bay bring this mission to life by creating opportunities for parents and children to share meaningful moments of joy and togetherness,” said Mr Choo.

5,200 free tickets for lower-income families

Gardens by the Bay will distribute the complimentary tickets for Floral Fantasy visits from 17 December 2025 until 12 April 2026. The tickets are part of the Gardens’ Gift of Gardens community outreach programme, which provides access to local residents who may not otherwise have the means to visit.

Since partnering with NTUC-U Care Fund in December 2024, 5,600 beneficiaries and their families have visited the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. With the latest ticket donation, the total reach will exceed 10,000 individuals.

Each beneficiary who successfully balloted for tickets can redeem up to five Floral Fantasy tickets.

Gardens by the Bay CEO Felix Loh said the partnership reflected the Gardens’ commitment to inclusion and community outreach.

“Through our long-standing partnership with NTUC, we are delighted to offer over 5,000 complimentary tickets for NTUC-U Care Fund beneficiaries and their loved ones to enjoy our latest showcase…

“We hope that more families can create wonderful memories through Gardens by the Bay’s Gift of Gardens community initiative, as we continue to share joy and wonder and bring our People’s Garden closer to everyone,” he added.

Launch event brings families together

At the 14 December launch, Mr Choo and Mr Loh joined 100 beneficiary families in exploring the colourful world inspired by Hasbro’s My Little Pony franchise.

Programme highlights included painting and hanging Christmas train ornaments, a My Little Pony dance performance, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, guided tours of seven pony zones, and hands-on activities such as glitter tattoos and hair braiding.

The showcase features seven beloved ponies from the global franchise — Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna and Princess Cadance.

The first four ponies debut new looks inspired by Chinese culture in the run-up to the Year of the Horse in 2026, while the three princesses are surrounded by a majestic three-metre-tall castle façade.

Featuring more than 2,000 plants including hydrangeas, lilies, roses and petunias, the showcase’s landscapes were curated to reflect each pony’s unique personality and charm.

My Little Pony: Petals of Friendship runs until Sunday, 12 April 2026 at Floral Fantasy. Standard tickets are priced at $12 for local resident adults and $8 for children or senior citizens.
